NTSh-A has released a new issue of its Bulletin (No. 60, June–December 2025), which documents the Society’s activities over a six-month period. Readers will learn about the Society’s participation in the international project The Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies as well as a new initiative for early-career scholars, the Shevchenko Workshop in Ukrainian Studies.
The central feature of the issue is a conversation with Harvard University professor and researcher George Grabowicz, titled “Decolonizing Slavic Studies: Ukrainian Studies and the Disruption of Russian Epistemic Authority.” The conversation addresses the challenges and prospects facing Ukrainian Studies in the Western academic world. In the article “War and Archives: The Institute of Literature,” Oles Fedoruk, Head of the Department of Manuscript Collections and Textual Studies at the T. H. Shevchenko Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, reflects on the importance of preserving the national archival heritage during wartime and on cooperation with NTSh-A.
Vitaly Chernetsky and Vasyl Makhno dedicate their contributions to the outstanding poet and Full Member of NTSh-A, Yurii Tarnawsky (1934–2025), who passed away in November of this year.
The “Texts” section features poetry by Hanna Osadko and Oksana Maksymchuk, as well as prose by Artem Chapai.
The issue also includes the Shevchenko Scientific Society Library 2025 Annual Report by Raymond Uzwyshyn, Chair of the Library and Archives Committee, and an article by archivist Anastasiia Denysenko, “Behind the Scenes at the Shevchenko Scientific Society Archives.”
The Bulletin’s traditional sections provide extensive information on new book publications by NTSh-A members, books sponsored by the Society, events held during the reporting period, and the most recent publications by members of the Society.
НТШ-А опублікувало чергове нове число Бюлетеня (№ 60, червень-грудень, 2025), в якому зафіксовано діяльність Товариства протягом піврічного періоду. Читач зможе дізнатися про участь Товариства у міжнародному проєкті The Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies та про новий почин для молодих науковців Shevchenko Workshop in Ukrainian Studies.

Олесь Федорук, завідувач відділом рукописних фондів і текстології Інституту літератури ім. Т. Г. Шевченка НАН України, у статті «Війна і архіви. Інститут літератури» розмірковує про важливість збереження національної архівної спадщини під час війни та співпрацю з НТШ-А.
Віталій Чернецький і Василь Махно присвятили свої тексти видатному поетові, Дійсному членові НТШ-А Юрію Тарнавському (1934-2025), що відійшов у засвіти у листопаді цього року.
У рубриці «Текст» подано вірші Ганни Осадко і Оксани Максимчук, а також прозу Артема Чапая.
Опубліковано звіт бібліотеки за 2025 рік, підготовлений головою Бібліотечно-архівної комісії Романом Юзвишиним, і статтю архівістки Анастасії Денисенко “Behind the Scenes at the Shevchenko Scientific Society Archives.”
