What does Ukraine mean for Jews of Ukrainian origin?Our friends at The Ukrainian Museum have organized a roundtable event on 7 November that brings together a group of highly accomplished Americans of Ukrainian Jewish origin to discuss how Ukrainian cultural legacies shaped who they are, what they know about Ukraine and what they would like to know, American Jewish grassroots responses to Ukrainian resistance, and what they can contribute to the Ukrainian cause.The distinguished panelists include: event moderator, the Shevchenko Scientific Society's Learned Secretary Dr. Yohanan Petrovsky-Shtern, the Crown Family Professor of Jewish Studies at Northwestern University; Dr. Jonathan Brent, Executive Director and CEO of YIVO Institute of Jewish Research; Anna Raginskaya, Financial Advisor with the Blue Rider Group of Morgan Stanley; and Molly Gochman, an experiential artist and activist who organizes community building projects. This event is part of a series at The Ukrainian Museum that celebrates Alexandra Exter’s influence on Ukrainian Jewish artists of her time.
