On December 14, 2024, we published a new issue of the Shevchenko Scientific Society Bulletin (January-December, 57-58, 2024). The issue opens with the keynote address by Halyna Hryn, former President of the Shevchenko Scientific Society in the US (2019-2024), at the conference “Stronger Together: U.S.-Ukraine Partnership in Education and Science” in Washington, D.C.
A significant portion of the materials is dedicated to the celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the founding of the Shevchenko Scientific Society, which includes a description of the event that took place at the Ukrainian Institute of America, an interview with the newly elected President of the Shevchenko Scientific Society in the US, Vitaly Chernetsky, as well as Board of Directors elections for the term 2024-2027.
George G. Grabowicz published a fragment from the forthcoming book Taras Shevchenko: A Portrait, which is scheduled to be published in 2026.
Readers can discover material about the Virko Baley 85th anniversary concert, information about the Fulbright scholar and writer Yevheniya Kononenko, and information about the Yuriy Tarnawsky Symposium held at Columbia University.
