Тhe exhibit consists of 18 black and white acrylic-and-pen paintings, 9”x12”, on canvas sheets. Seven depict central Kyiv in ruins in 1941–42, as a result of explosions set off by the Soviets; the paintings were completed in mid-2021. Eleven depict Ukraine in ruins in 2022–23, as a result of Russia’s genocidal war; these were completed during the war, in 2022–23. All the paintings were done on the basis of photographs.
