A Visit to the Society by Connecticut College Students About eighteen students from Professor Andrea Lanoux's Ukrainian history class at Connecticut College visited our headquarters in NYC on October 4, 2024. This, being the third year that the students have visited, is fast becoming an autumnal tradition at the Society.Following a brief introduction to the Society by Vasyl' Makhno, we had a reading of three of his poems including "If Bach Kept Bees" solsticelitmag.org/content/if-bach-kept-bees/Then Marko Slyz gave a brief talk about the Society's archives and library.After the first half of their course, the students will conduct projects on individually-chosen research topics on Ukraine. 28 вересня 2024 року в НТШ-А відбулася доповідь доктора історичних наук, завідувачки відділу соціальної антрпології Інституту народознавства НАН України Оксани Кісь на тему "Войовнича жіночість: трансформація образу української жінки в публічному дискурсі під час російсько-української війни".Доповідачка проаналізувала як змінювалися стереотипи про жінок після Майдану та від початку війни pосії проти України навесні 2014 року в публічному дискурсі.
