Exhibition Opening Intergenerational Dialogue

Borshch of Art, in collaboration with the Shevchenko Scientific Society (NTSh-A), invites you to join us on Saturday, October 3, for the opening of Intergenerational Dialogue, featuring works from the NTSh-A’s permanent art collection and archives. This collaborative project reflects both organizations’ shared commitment to cultural preservation, public engagement, and access to underrepresented art histories.

The core curatorial vision is to highlight an under-recognized yet significant body of work by Ukrainian-American artists, featuring renowned artists such as Alexander Archipenko, Jaque Hnizdovskiy, and Edward Kozak alongside lesser-known but equally talented artists such as Roman Patchowsky, Mykhailo Moroz, Volodymyr Lassovsky, Petro Andrudiw, and Bohdan Borzhemsky. This exhibition offers the public a unique opportunity to engage with cultural heritage often overlooked in mainstream art historical discourse

Intergenerational Dialogue is organized by the Borshch of Art and co-curated by Anastasia Gudko and Fanfan Yuxuan Fan with input from Maya Shkolnik and Iryna Borodin.

This project is made possible in part with funds from Creative Engagement, a regrant program supported by The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA) in partnership with the City Council and administered by LMCC. LMCC serves, connects, and makes space for artists and community.

The project is a part of the Lysiak-Rudnytsky Ukrainian Studies Programme held by the Ukrainian Institute in cooperation with the Cultural Diplomacy Foundation, with financial support from the International Renaissance Foundation and Mnozhyna Foundation.
