The Shevchenko Scientific Society, the Ukrainian Academy of Arts and Sciences in the U.S. and the Ukrainian Institute of America are pleased to sponsor an international conference in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Ukrainian Revolution and the Proclamation of Ukraine’s Independence to be held on Saturday, January 20, at the Shevchenko Scientific Society, and Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Ukrainian Institute of America.
The Conference Program will feature three panels: The Ukrainian Revolution in Historical Perspective, chaired by Dr. Anna Procyk; Political Aspects of the Ukrainian Revolution, chaired by Dr. Martha Bohachevsky Chomiak; and Cultural Aspects of the Ukrainian Revolution, chaired by Dr. Myroslava Znayenko. The first panel will take place on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Shevchenko Scientific Society while the remaining two panels will be held at the Ukrainian Institute of America at 2 East 79th St. on Sunday, January 21, 2018. The Conference will conclude with a concert and reception at the UIA at 7:00 pm.
