Double the impact of your financial gift by requesting that your employer match your gift. We will be happy to provide any information to your employer’s matching gift program. Please have your employer contact the Society’s Development Officer at (212) 254-5130 or email@example.com.
Gifts of Securities
A charitable contribution of long-term appreciated securities i.e. stocks, bonds and/or mutual funds that have realized significant appreciation over time, is one of the most tax-effective ways to meet your charitable giving goals.
Since securities are donated rather than sold, capital gains taxes from selling the security no longer apply. The more appreciation the securities have, the greater the tax savings for the donor. The donor benefits from a tax deduction for the full market value of the securities at the time of the contribution, which may be limited by IRS code.
To obtain instructions on how to make a gift of securities, contact the Society’s Development Officer at (212) 254-5130 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Consult your financial advisors, estate attorney or accountant when establishing your planned giving goals and details of your gift.
