The influence of media on everyday life in Ukraine will be shown here with the example of popular TV series “Servant of the People,” which led to tectonic shifts in the country’s political life. The actor, who played the people’s president, became the real president who came to power with sensational ratings. Based on analysis of examples from the series, election campaign, current government leadership – the phenomenon of the series and the party “Servant of the People” will be discussed in the global context of populism and the influence of the media
