Mykhailo Pylypovych Kravchuk (Михайло Пилипович Кравчук, 1892-1942)
was a Ukrainian mathematician who,
despite his early death in
was the author of around 180 articles on mathematics.
He primarily wrote papers on differential and integral equations, studying both their theory and applications.
He is the eponym of the Kravchuk polynomials. Kravchuk published on the idea on a digital computer before John Vincent Atanasoff, credited with inventing the digital computer.
